Dixon Drums is proud to announce that we are the official drum set of Feelgoods Las Vegas. Founded by Vince Neil, lead singer of the legendary rock band, Mötley Crüe and custom chopper builder, “The Count” of Count’s Kustoms, Feelgoods Rock Bar and Grill offers diners a unique and tasty dining experience topped off by live rockin’ entertainment from the stage. Dixon equipped Feelgoods with an Outlaw series 5-piece drumset in Blackburst finish, complementary hardware and Sabian Cymbals.

DIXON DRUM FACTORY VISIT IN ASIA

On May 2nd, Jim Stanek traveled to Asia to visit Dixon’s factories to begin new product development for 2011. Stanek, the US product manager for Dixon Drums, spent his first week visiting with the factory management team and craftsmen that produce Dixon’s popular Demon series drums. His second week was spent visiting two additional Dixon factories where hardware, snares and Outlaw series drums are manufactured.

“Our overseas trip was extremely productive this year. We work with great factories that employ very talented craftsmen,” said Stanek. “There are some very exciting new projects on the horizon for Dixon Drums, including new kits from the Demon and Outlaw Series, as well as a few unique snare drums.”

The first LA Drummer Meetup Networking Event, October 21st in Culver City, Ca

Dixon Drums and Gibraltar Hardware are proud to present the LA Drummers Meetup to be held at Musician’s Choice Studios in Culver City (Los Angeles) on October 21st from 7:30PM -9:30 PM

So drummers of Los Angeles, grab your sticks and come join us for a night of networking, knowledge sharing and just having fun.

Free food, refreshments, giveaways and professional tips will be provided, courtesy of Dixon Drums’ Product Manager, Jim Stanek. Gibraltar Hardware’s Product Marketing Director will be on site, customizing rack mount systems to fit drum kits of any make or model. Additionally, the event will feature a blindfold testing of various drum shells, drumheads, sizes and thicknesses.

“The LA Drummer Meetup event is a great way for Dixon Drums to connect directly with area drummers” said Jim Stanek, Product Manager for Dixon Drums. “Whether you are a beginner or working local clubs in your town, come down to the LA Drummer Meetup and let Dixon drums help you find your sound.”

DIXON DRUMS WRAPS UP “BEATS FOR EATS” TOUR SUPPORTING LOCAL FOOD BANKS & SHELTERS

Dixon Drums recently held Beats for Eats: Rock Out for a Good Cause, a series of food drives that took place during April at select music retailers, benefiting local food banks and shelters throughout Southern California. The event showcased a Dixon Demon drum set interfaced with Playstation 3’s popular video game, Rock Band 2 — allowing attendees to test drive an actual drum set while playing along with the video game. Guests were treated to free food and refreshments, professional drumming tips and tricks and door prizes, courtesy of the pros at Dixon Drums. Attendees were encouraged to bring canned or non-perishable foods to be donated to selected city shelters.

“Dixon strives to create innovative initiatives to support our network of independent dealers. Beats for Eats gives us the opportunity to bring a fun event to our valued dealers – all while giving back to their community.” said Jim Stanek, Product Manager of Dixon Drums. “Dozens of drummers of all ages and skill levels, along with some die-hard Rock Band fans joined us for the fun, all while supporting a great cause.”

Recent Beats for Eats events were held at Singer Music (La Puente, CA) in support of The Gary Center; Santa Monica Music Center (Santa Monica, CA) supporting The Ocean Park Community Center; and Tom’s Music (Victorville, CA) benefiting High Desert Homeless Services.
