I've been excited for this forum for a while now, ever since I purchased a Dixon Demon drum set from my local music store. I'm looking forward to meeting other owners and maybe even talking to the people who make and market Dixon Drums.

Hey Sean,
Thanks for the kind words we're glad you're part of the Dixon family. Let me know what dealer you visited in and I'll check and see if they have re-ordered a new Demon series kit so you can make a video.

Hello Kevin welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure if any dealer has an outlaw kit in stock, I know we have them in stock in our warehouse, so please continue to ask your dealer to stock the outlaw series. There will also be a review on the Outlaw series in Drum Magazine coming out very soon. Dixon drums have been around since 1979. Back in '79 the drums and hardware were distributed by a smaller company focusing on some hardware , snare drums and entry to mid-level kits. About 7 years ago Kaman Music Corp. began distributing Dixon free-standing hardware. Now in 2008 we have the oppurtunity to introduce Dixon drums back into the US market with some great sounding and affordable drums.
Thanks again for your interest.

These kits look great. I would make a suggestion however (to whoever controls marketing there) it may be beneficial to get some bigger pictures up of the different finishes. And maybe more than one from a different angle. Cosmetics have a lot to do with a consumers decision to buy an instrument. It may be the best sounding instrument in the world, but if the buyer thinks it's ugly they probably would sacrifice sound over looks. These kits look stunning, you guys should show them off. Your craftsmanship for the amount of the kit is what will seperate you from every other company out there that has a maple kit in the same price range. For myself, I would probably buy a Dixon because you offer an amazing Blue Burst Sparkle finish (lacquered) - I dont know another comapny out there that has that finish (in lacquer) on a maple kit - in this price range. Ive worked in the drum department for a few different music stores and can't tell you how much proper marketing helps sell a product. And it's usually the small inexpensive details. Break open a box, assmeble a kit, grab a digital camera and take some shots from a few different angles showing off the kit. People like what they see they will want it! Appeal to the eyes and the heart will follow. Anyways...thats my two cents for what its worth.

P.S. - That Blue Sparkle kit sure looks nice
