KEEP YOUR DRUMS COMFORTABLE

It is extremely important to protect your drums from damage and temperature extremes. We recommended investing into drum cases or soft bags for storing and transporting your drums.

If your drums are set up for an extended period of time, keep them covered and away from damp or cold areas. Extreme temperature shifts can damage drum shells and finishes. Moisture content within the shells is affected as humidity and temperature changes. This can make the shells expand or contract, warp or even crack.

DO NOT:

  • Shock your drums or subject them to extremes! If you are out in the snow, and enter a warm house or club, do not open the case until the drums inside has come up to temperature.
  • Do not leave your drums in the trunk or backseat of your car!
  • Make sure you have the proper cases. When you close the lid, be sure to latch it! Carry the case with the lid towards you. Backwards down the stairs and forward going up.
  • Don't tune it above pitch.
  • If traveling by plane, be very careful. Use the best-constructed cases you can find.
